I’d been looking for a story like “Alan” for a while: a story to make you stop and think, driven by one character with a powerful ending. I was delighted when Ideas Tap gave me the opportunity to bring Alan to life. I wanted to give the audience a truly authentic view and place them right into the main character’s world. In particular, colour was very important in this film. It wasn’t just about creating moods, it was a major tool, and was critical to highlighting little moments of joy and delineating important contrasts.
