John Lewis commissioned me to make a series of mini films for social media to launch their high-end cooking and dining ware. They wanted to show people that they could create memorable, beautiful, restaurant quality dining experiences at home with this collection.
The objects were the heroes of this story and so I decided to put the viewer in the object’s place. We did lots of filming close up macro at low level to create intimacy and warmth. We created both 16 x 9 shots and also square format to meet the digital requirements.
