Making the show for GT Academy was all about getting the most out of the competitor, helping them to forget the cameras. We wanted real sweat, real tears, real elation, there couldn’t be any fakery. I needed to find the right balance between being a constant presence and choosing only the shots necessary to tell the story.  I particularly loved the technical challenge of getting those set pieces around stationary cars and cars in action.  We created 20 different edits so that the GT Academy series could be aired on 20 different channels around the world.
